Organisation plans
Pricing
Free for your friend group. Paid when your organisation needs Dyst to run the season — never because we made the free tier unpleasant.
Plans
One price per organisation, not per person. Prices are directional for a bootstrap product and may change before checkout exists. Annual billing is intended to be about two months free.
Billing is not live. Every organisation is on Pickup today, with no member cap enforced. The paid plans and limits below are the intended path — not current charges.

How we intend to charge
Money should come from organisations that need Dyst to behave like infrastructure — more people, more history, more admin — not from making the free ladder unpleasant.
Free feels complete
Small organisations record matches, see ratings update, and invite people — with no tricks and no “upgrade to unlock fairness.”
Bill the organisation
One price per organisation, with a published member cap. Never an invoice per seat, and never homework to prune inactive players.
Honest limits, generous buffer
We will tell you the cap, let you overflow it, and only pause new invites at a higher ceiling. Play and ratings never stop.
How member limits will work
Caps will be honest, generous, and real — but they are not enforced today. When they are, the first number is soft on purpose. Existing members keep playing. Matches stay unlimited. The only thing that can pause is new invites.
1. Published cap
What we tell you
Pickup’s working number is 20 (Club 75, League 250). That is the plan size we will show in the product. Numbers stay directional until we see real organisation sizes.
2. Overflow + grace
Invites still work
Crossing the published cap does not block anyone. After about a week or two over that number, owners and admins see a calm dashboard warning — time to upgrade or wait, with no lockout at the published figure.
3. Hard cap
Only then, pause invites
The hard limit sits a bit above the published one (for example 20 → around 25). New invites stop only here. Ratings, history, and match recording never degrade.
Example: Pickup says 20. Inviting a 21st or 23rd still works. After a week or two over 20, owners and admins see a dashboard warning. Invites only stop at the harder ceiling (around 25). Upgrade is offered; it is never the only way to keep the ladder you already have.
Feature comparison
Core play is the same on every plan. Paid columns are the intended packaging — most of those extras are not built or billed yet.

What stays free forever
Ratings
Deterministic lineup TrueSkill, tombstones, and corrections — the product’s integrity stays on every plan.
Play
Unlimited matches on every tier. Recording a game is never a billable event.
Core experience
See the ladder, invite friends, and manage simple permissions without a squeeze.
Any match shape
1v2 and N-way games stay first-class on every tier. They are part of the product, not an upsell.
How monetization will grow
We are publishing the path before anyone is charged. Later phases are not in effect until they ship.
Now
In effectShip value, stay free — and say the plan out loud
The competitive loop is free. These plans are public before anyone is charged, even while Pickup is still fully generous. No paywall.
Next
Not yetSoft limits and nudges
When an organisation crosses the published cap, owners and admins see a warning and an explanation of Club. Invites still work. No hard block until billing exists — and even then, only at the generous hard cap.
Then
Not yetLaunch Club
Checkout, published and hard member caps with overflow and grace, plus export and light branding. We will not meter matches or invoice per person.
